This will include training on transformational leadership development, professional and career development, and digital communication and technology skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/refinedng.com\/2023-lagos-state-scholarship-and-bursary-awards-for-colleges-and-higher-institution-students\/\">2023 Lagos State Scholarship and Bursary Awards For Colleges and Higher Institution Students<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Essentially, beyond the technical training in resource governance, interns will be exposed to the tools and guidance needed to set and achieve realistic personal and professional goals, coupled with well-rounded and ethical leadership training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">ACEP is calling for applications for the 5th cohort of its Next Generation Resource Governance Leaders Program. The tenure for the internship will be from September to December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Applicant must be a young African who demonstrates a passion for ensuring the vast extractive resources in Africa translates to sustainable and inclusive development. Among others, the candidate must possess:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Relevant academic qualifications, preferably in any or a combination of economics (including energy), engineering (petroleum\/electrical), oil and gas management, public policy, law, political economy, development studies, development finance, project management, communications, statistics, mathematics, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Good writing skills with clarity and logical flow of thought<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Adequate knowledge of relevant qualitative and quantitative analytical tools (R, Stata, Eviews, NVivo, Atlas.ti etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Good interpersonal skills and team spirit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">The ability to think creatively and take the initiative in solving problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">A good sense of ownership and responsibility for his\/her decisions and actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">A strong sense of leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Duration and Reward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">ACEP will provide support for growth and development through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Opportunities for training and development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Coaching, mentorship, and peer support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Creating room for creativity and innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">A generous stipend and free lunch for the duration of the internship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Decent accommodation for international interns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">An approved return ticket from the NextGen Leader\u2019s home country to Ghana<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Required Documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Motivational Statement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">CV\/Resume<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Recommendation Letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Method of Application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Applicants will be required to upload a motivational Statement, CV\/Resume, and a Recommendation Letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">There would be an entry test and an interview as part of the recruitment process.
