Elohor Aiboni Becomes the First-Ever Female Managing Director/Chief Executive of Shell Nigeria

Elohor Aiboni has been appointed Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO).

Elohor joins SNEPCO with over 13 years experience in the Oil and Gas sector, working on Project to Asset Handover, Operations of Oil and Gas facilities with HSE, cross-discipline, cross-functional units and multi-operating unit exposure.

Elohor is self-motivated, with a strong sense of business priorities.

Before her appointment, she was the company’s first Bonga Asset Operations Manager. She also worked across various leadership positions at the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC). Most recently, she served as EA Operations Manager of the company from June 2015 to January 2018. As EA Operations Manager, Elohor was responsible for delivering the Asset annual scorecard with a particular focus on HSSE. She also led initiatives targeted at improving organizational capability and competence. Elohor further served as Operations Completion and Handover Manager, Onshore Assets, where she managed the handover of SPDC’s Divested Assets to New Operators and provided post-Operator-ship support to the New JVs.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Benin and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Bath. 

Elohor is a certified QMS Auditor, trained HSSE and Control Framework Auditor.
