Huge kudos to 54gene, they are African genomics research, services, and development company addressing the need to include under-represented African genomic data in research which could lead to medical breakthroughs and new healthcare solutions worldwide.
The biotech startup offers genetic testing and molecular diagnostics services to Africans. The startup was selected because of its Africa-wide initiative to collect, analyze and sequence African genomes. 54Gene is creating a genetic biobank for the continent and has already gotten over tens of thousands of samples with 200,000 more expected by the end of the year.
