Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur has been a means to serve a need or solve real life problems. Plus the reward of wealth.
What inspired “Chunk” and when did you start the initiative?
We started out in 2019 with a solution to help digitize cash payment as the current systems are heavily dependent on cash. The goal was to develop a product that happens to help businesses receive cash as well as track it.
What motivates you and what are the principles that guide your business?
We have over 40 million businesses in Africa and beyond. Building a solution to empower these businesses is what we stand for as a business.
In your industry, what makes you unique?
What makes us unique is that we are focused on the immediate problems that will prevent small business owners from scaling or growing. Hence the direction we took to offer them the tools they need to grow. Besides, the tools we offer are simple to use, accessible and we have the Chunk Team who are at the fore-front to satisfy users.

What has been your greatest entrepreneurial success?
Validating the problem we are solving for (this is a continuous process). Getting early customers to sign up and pay for our services. Also, getting feedback about the product and how we can improve it. Therefore, putting all of these into the new product we are launching into private beta this month.
What is your favourite part of being an entrepreneur?
Working with amazing people to build solutions that solves people pressing needs or problems and make money from it (lol)
What is the most challenging aspect to being an entrepreneur?
Product Market fit, We are working to fix that with our new product. Also, Finance.
Tell us about your product and service at Chunk
Chunk is a simple book keeping app that helps small businesses track their stock, record sales and expenses, issue invoice & receipts, and give you real time updates about your business performance. We also offer cash management tools such as book keeping tablets, mobile printer and so on.
