Jessica Anuna is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Klasha, a financial technology company that specializes in building cross-border payment solution software to power African commerce. 

Klasha, which is backed by leading venture investors including Plug and Play, Seedcamp, Greycroft and Techstars, has its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria and San Francisco, USA. 

Jessica heads a team of over 20 people at Klasha who are working to ensure that consumer goods online are more accessible to customers across Africa by building solutions that allow international merchants to accept payments from Africa using African money methods and currencies with payouts in hard currencies.

Klasha is currently live in Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya and Zambia.

Jessica completed a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the City University, London, and a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Financial Technology from the University of Cambridge. She received other certifications from the London School of Economics and Political Science, King’s College London, Imperial College London and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Before Klasha, Jessica gained a wealth of experience working for top online businesses. She  served as Business Development Account Manager at Amazon, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Manager at Shopa and E-commerce Consultant at Shopify Plus.

Jessica has been featured in Forbes, WWD and BBC London News and has given keynote speeches at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, Nairobi and the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa. In 2019, Forbes Africa named Jessica 30 Under 30 and separately in 2019, named her a New Wealth Creator in Africa. Management Today named her one of their 35 under 35 Ones to Watch.

Jessica volunteers at the World Economic Forum, Abu-Dhabi Hub, US Embassy, London and she is a Professional Development Mentor at the City University of London, where she mentors second year students in career and personal development.
