Dr Olusola Sayeed Ayoola
Dr Olusola Sayeed Ayoola is a Robotics Engineer, Life Coach and Entrepreneur. He is the founder of the first indigenous robotics company in Nigeria – Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN), where he leads research in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics as well as supports the career development of young Robot Developers in Nigeria. Dr Olusola Sayeed Ayoola serves as the lead facilitator in the Robot Development and Automation – RDA full certification wing of RAIN.
At RAIN, Dr Olusola Ayoola champions AI Robotics training, research and product development with a mission to advance local content in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. The centre is located in Ibadan, Nigeria and equipped with ultramodern facilities for research and product development. Through RAIN, Dr Olusola Ayoola provides support and mentorship for industrial and academic researchers in the country. He has a proven passion for knowledge transfer and an extensive record of delivering robotic and STEM outreach programmes in the United Kingdom.
Dr Olusola holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan, a master’s degree with distinction in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester and a doctorate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering also from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

The robotics engineer recently developed a carbon emission tracker drone that can detect criminals in the forest, thus facilitating the work of the Nigerian Military Force and security agencies in their concerted efforts to combat crimes in the country.
Dr Olusola currently lectures at the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he delivers robotics and advanced control theory modules to postgraduate students.
Dr Olusola served as a member of the Robotics Research Group at the University of Manchester, UK from 2014 to 2019; during which he partnered with Forth Engineering, UK to develop ground and underwater robots to support the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning programme. He led research in Acoustics Systems for underwater robot positioning and non-tethered communication.
Dr Olusola is a member of the prestigious Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
