Interview With The CEO Of Treatsbyteema

Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?

I decided to be an entrepreneur the moment I figured my actual course of study in the university wasn’t my passion and knew the way forward in this country is having a business of your own with skills rather than just the usual 9 to 5.

What inspired the idea of the “Treatsbyteema” brand and when did you start your initiative?

I started roughly in 2017, I’d say my inspiration came after I had acquired basic skills at a vocational school. I started as teema’s confectionary but later on knew I wanted something beyond just cakes.

What motivates you and what are the principles that guide your business?

I mostly get my motivation from family, friends, watching and seeing new Ideas from Bakers and Chefs. there is this happiness I feel when I watch Chefs work, It motivates me a lot. In relation to principles, I try to with time, dilligently and not take orders I know I may not be capable of delivering and of course nothing illegal.

 In your industry, what makes you unique?

I believe what makes me unique in my industry is the taste of my products. My motto is ” satisfying taste buds” so I put so much effort in making that a reality. So when you taste what I make there is a distinct in it and I believe it is unique enough.

What has been your greatest entrepreneurial success?

I have successfully Merged with a friend who is also an entrepreneur( NI’BI) but a different field and however small, it’s an achievement to me and a start up to several collaborations to come.

What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

I’d say the flexibility and also the Joy of bringing smiles on the faces of those who patronize me. The sense of working at my own pace and when I work knowing people what I bring to them.

What is the most challenging of being an entrepreneur?

This will be bringing up Ideas, making plans, putting in capital and things not going out as planned. I’ve come to face this a couple of times. But it takes great zeal to keep doing me and coming up with better ideas.

Tell us about your products/services?

My business name is Treatsbyteema. I deal with cakes, anything Pastry, Food, and drinks. I make Birthday cakes, Snacks, Smoothies, Chapman, Small chops, Soups and Food. I provide delivery all over Lagos.
