To close the gender gap in the adoption of digital financial services by low-income women, the Women World Bank invites applications from fintechs pioneering innovative financial solutions that break the persistent challenges in serving the low-income women’s market, to join its 2023 Innovation challenge.
Women’s World Banking is an institution with a 40-year track record of empowering low-income women through financial inclusion. It does this through research, advocacy engagement as well as offering leadership and diversity programs.

Through a highly competitive process, Women’s World Banking’s Fintech Innovation Challenge identifies and elevates four later-stage fintechs pioneering innovative financial solutions that break the persistent challenges in serving the low-income women’s market.
Eligibility Requirement
Fintech that fit the following:
- Fintech leveraging technology to provide financial solutions for underserved, low-income women
- Fintech whose focus is on serving customers in emerging markets
- Fintech that is preparing for Series A or later and can demonstrate a minimum viable product and a path to profitability
