Toba Obaniyi is the Chief Executive Officer of WhoGoHost, one of the leading web hosting companies and Nigeria’s largest domain provider, which provides DNS, hosting, and website-building services to a variety of global B2G, B2B, and B2C customers from the sub-Saharan region and also from Europe, Asia, USA, UK, and Nigeria.
Toba possesses over twelve years of experience working in technology startups, driving business and product development, marketing strategy and customer success.
WhoGoHost was founded with the aim of providing reliable and affordable web hosting services to small and medium-sized businesses in Nigeria at a time when the web hosting industry in Nigeria was still in its infancy, and there were few players in the market.

Under Toba’s leadership, WhoGoHost has grown from a boot-strapped startup to a highly respected Nigerian brand with a large customer base of over 60,000 and a turnover of US$2,500,000. The company has also expanded its services to include domain registration, website design, and digital marketing.
The WhoGoHost clientele ranges from multinationals who require complex and multifaceted solutions to a diverse range of retail customers.

Toba’s core areas of specialization include providing leadership and strategic decision-making for high-growth companies, opening and growing markets especially for high-growth technology start-ups, designing product development strategies and overseeing product teams, creating digital products for B2B and B2C customers, managing cross-functional teams, developing and training engineers and coders, and working with regulatory authorities to drive policy for the growth of the technology industry and the Internet.
Toba completed a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and other certifications from Havard Business School and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Toba currently serves as the Vice President of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), where he is responsible for managing the dotNG ccTLD. He is also Chairman of the Communication and Publicity Committee (CPC) responsible for brand awareness & general adoption of the dotNG zone.
In 2019, Toba launched a program called “DigitalSENSE Africa,” which aims to promote digital literacy and empower young people with the skills they need to succeed in the digital economy.
Toba is also a strong advocate for entrepreneurship and has mentored numerous young entrepreneurs in Nigeria. In his versatile capacity, he has managed teams of various disciplines including customer success, infrastructure, products and marketing, financial analysis, and more. Toba has also managed teams of developers to build CRM tools, e-commerce platforms, web design platforms, and more using agile methodology.
