With the rise of technology and innovation in Africa, different sectors such as energy, agriculture, finance, and healthcare are undergoing rapid changes. African digital solutions that have global applications are on the rise and more global solutions need to emerge from Africa.

CcHUB and iHub have commenced the 2nd edition of the Women in Business program, a program that was initially launched in 2019. The program focuses on women-led technology businesses and women-led businesses in Nigeria and Kenya. The program would equip selected women-led businesses to leverage technology and scale their solutions in the African market. It would create access to larger market opportunities and improve the expansion efforts of women-led businesses in the African market.

Benefits of this program

* Through the program, selected business will become strategically differentiated companies that speak to the heart of customer needs.

* Business leaders will be educated to speak investors’ language and leverage sound financial understanding of their businesses to secure capital and partnerships.

* Additional support to expand across multiple geographical markets. They would also get knowledge on how to attract, develop and retain a strong team.

* Access to a robust network of investors, corporate executives and software developers to help scale their business.

Eligibility

The criteria for participation in the program include:

* Women-led businesses interested in leveraging technology to scale their businesses.

* Businesses registered, with operations in Kenya or Nigeria and a strong well-rounded founding team, working full-time on the business.

* Businesses with proven traction in the market (e.g. customers, revenue) as well as scalable businesses that meet a real need.

* This program will bring together female entrepreneurs, software developers, investors, SMEs, corporates and industry experts across multiple sectors.
