Coleman Wires and Cables is an indigenous Nigerian company with technical expertise in the mass production of quality wires and cables for residential, commercial and industrial use.
Coleman Wires and Cables was founded in July 1975 by Asiwaju Solomon Onafowokan. He is also the Chairman of Chellarams Plc, a leading Nigerian conglomerate with capabilities that span a diverse array of industries and Artee Industries Ltd. Coleman Wires and Cables was founded on the principles of developing local industries that would create jobs through the production of high-quality products.

Coleman Wires and Cables started production in 1996 at its first factory at Ikotun, Lagos with a capacity to process 1,200 metric tons of Copper and 800 metric tons of Aluminium per annum. The Arepo factory was commissioned in 2009, it is the largest ultra-modern cable factory in West Africa with a floor capacity of 15,000 square metres and a production capacity to process 15,000 metric tons of Copper and 18,000 metric tons of Aluminium per annum.
Coleman Wires and Cables’ Sagamu plant, an architectural masterpiece, was commissioned in December 2014 to produce Medium-high Voltage XLPE cables. It is the first of its kind in the West African Sub-region and places Nigeria as the sixth country in Africa with this production expertise. The Arepo and Sagamu factories together have the production capacity to process 60,000 metric tons of Copper and 40,000 metric tons of Aluminium per annum.
With a mission to manufacture products that meet global standards in quality, performance, reliability and safety, Coleman Wires and Cables is a member of the Cable Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CAMAN). The association comprises of top-rated manufacturing companies in Nigeria as members have to meet the international standards of quality to maintain membership.
