Early Life and Education
Born in July 1966 in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Oreagba began his educational journey at Ijebu-Ode Grammar School before moving to King’s College Lagos. He furthered his education at Edward Greenes College, Oxford, in London, where he graduated with distinction. Oreagba’s pursuit of knowledge didn’t stop there; he acquired a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Combined Engineering Studies from Coventry University (1985-1989) and a BTec Diploma in Business & Finance from the University of East London (1991-1993).
Professional Journey
Over the past four decades, Oreagba has had an illustrious career in the financial sector, both in Nigeria and abroad. His expertise and contributions were significant enough to earn him a position on the Derivatives Product Advisory Committee of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. However, his career was temporarily halted in April 2014 when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and carcinoma, severe forms of bone marrow and skin cancer, respectively.
Triumph Over Cancer
Oreagba’s battle with cancer was a challenging chapter of his life. Diagnosed in 2014, he fought the disease with determination and resilience. By February 3, 2015, he achieved complete remission and was declared cancer-free in 2017. This victory over cancer not only marked a personal triumph but also inspired many who followed his journey.
Return to the Financial Sector
After his recovery, Oreagba made a notable return to the financial sector. In September 2023, NG Clearing Limited appointed him as the Managing Director/CEO. This role marked a significant comeback nearly six years after he had to step away due to his health issues.
