Joy Ogbebo is the Chief Executive Officer at Mamaj Aviation Consult Limited, an aviation-focused organization providing various services in aviation, to support cabin crew, aspiring aviators, pilots and passengers. Additionally, Mamaj Aviation Consult also renders diverse services which include training for aviation personnel, brand marketing, logistics services, hosting events/seminars, air chatter, travel packages, recruitment, consulting and customer relationship management.
Joy Ogbebo is also the founder and publisher of Mamajsblog.com.ng, an online news media providing full updates and information on aviation, trends, flight schedules, diary, travels and tours as well as celebrating aviation celebrities.
Joy Ogbebo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Delta State University, Abraka, a diploma in Social Work from the prestigious University of Benin, and other qualifications which include Diploma in Customer Service, Diploma in Journalism, IATA Certificate in SMS Implementation Control, Certificates in Leadership and Coaching, Customer Relationship Management, Customer Service Etiquette, Effective Coaching and Supervisory, Passenger Handling Awareness and Effective Sales Promotion. Joy Ogbebo has also attended several crew training in Nigeria, Egypt and Germany.
With over 25 years’ professional experience in the Aviation industry, Joy Ogbebo has served in different management capacities and has successfully managed and executed leadership duties, especially managing a team of staff to offer excellent customer services. She has worked as a Cabin Crew, Purser, Crew Development Purser, Cabin Services Supervisor, Crew Line Manager, Line Trainer, Performance Manager, and finally rose to the peak of her career as the Head of Cabin and Inflight Services.

Since founding Mamaj Aviation Consult, Joy Ogbebo has been directly responsible for the management of cabin services and in-flight catering department. She also ensures that all aspects of cabin services which includes cabin safety training and in-flight catering align with the company’s vision and procedures.
Joy Ogbebo currently works in a higher capacity as the Head, Cabin and Inflight Services at Discovery Air Limited, a position she assumed since 2014. As the Head of Cabin and Inflight Services, Joy Ogbebo monitors operating costs/overheads in the cabin, in-flight catering and develops team members to the best possible industry standard.
The early years of her career saw her grow at the renowned Virgin Nigeria Airways, where she served across various positions from 2005 to 2012. At Virgin Nigeria Airways, Joy Ogbebo worked as On-board Manager in 2005, Crew Development/Purser in 2006 and as Crew Line / Performance Manager from 2008 to 2012, before scaling up the ladder of her career.
Having gathered so much expertise in her career, Joy Ogbebo sees Mamaj Aviation Consult as a way to give back to the community and the world. Under the platform, she functions as an Aviation Career Development Advocate, Aviation Consultant, Aviation Blogger and mentor. She is the face behind Mamaj Aviation Blog, Mamaj Aviation TV, Mamaj Mentorship Academy and the organizer of the Annual Cabin Crew Fair and the Aviation Career Conference.
In recognition for her outstanding aviation services and excellent customer service delivery, Joy Ogbebo has won several awards including receiving an award for the Most Transparent Aviation Female Career Mentor of the year 2018 at the Transparency Africa Investiture award organized by Heroes Communication.
She continues to light the path of young professionals and aviation enthusiasts by guiding them through coaching, mentorship and self-development.
