Publiseer
Publiseer is a free and easily accessible digital publishing platform for independent African writers, musicians and filmmakers. The digital publishing platform is tailored to meet the growing needs and demands of Nigerian authors and artists as they advance in their careers.
The company was founded upon the mission to promote the creativity and talents of young Africans across the globe, one content at a time through digital media. Publiseer is headquartered in Lagos Nigeria, with operations across other African countries like Cairo, Accra, Nairobi and Cape Town, South Africa, Egypt and Kenya.
Publiseer operates by letting African creatives sell their books and music on over 400 partner stores worldwide like Google Play, Apple store, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple iBook, etc. Once creatives are accepted on the platform, Publiseer handles all media and publishing works from the beginning to end of the project. On completion, authors get professional book covers, ISBN numbers, worldwide book distribution, press release and distribution, standard book formatting and the EPUB file conversion for flexible distribution.

However, for artists, songs recorded are distributed across online stores such as Spotify, Google Play Music, Apple iTunes, Amazon, Deezer and Shazam. Just like authors, artists also get professional cover art, a unique UPC number, press release drafting/distribution and FLAC file conversion, all at no cost.
Publiseer was founded by the twin brothers, Chidi Nwaogu and Chika Nwaogu in 2017 to tackle the difficulties faced by talented writers, artists and to enable inclusion in underserved communities, thus making artists earn above the minimum wage and live well from the sale of their works. By founding Publiseer, Chidi and Chika Nwaogu tend to bring publishing, design and technology together. The platform showcases the best of African culture and heritage digitized in writing, music and film.
Publiseer also help artists and authors to convert their raw works into a great and professional masterpiece. With Publiseer, authors are sure to get a professional book/album cover and a unique ISBN/UPC number assigned to their book or album.
The Lagos-based digital publishing platform partnered with Google Play Books in 2018 to support Google’s digital book distribution service in meeting up with several publishing requests it receives in Africa.
In 2018, Publiseer was inducted into the International Publishing Distribution Association (IPDA), becoming the first African publisher to be inducted into the organization. The induction has however given the company an international exposure and has helped initiate partnership with fellow IPDA members. The IPDA further enabled the platform to gain an invitation to the 2019 Geneva Book Fair.
In 2019, Publiseer won the Startup World Cup Nigeria regional final, a global startup pitch competition held by Silicon Valley based venture capital firm, Fenox VC, with a $1 million investment prize, which enabled them represent Nigeria at the competition’s grand finale in the United States.
Daily, the company discovers local African writers, musicians, filmmakers and game developers, providing them with a platform to focus their energy on what they love best, while they handle the tedious business process of transforming their creativities into a great masterpiece capable of producing wealth.
Publiseer is recognized and supported by top organizations across the globe like Forbes, Acumen, Fenox Venture Capital, International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and World Culture Open (WCO).
