The Next Titan Entrepreneurial Reality Show is Set to Air 7th Edition

The entrepreneurial reality show, The Next Titan is set for the seventh edition of the show. The 7th edition tagged: ‘Unstoppable” will be open to ambitious entrepreneurs with striking business ideas. The show is focused on enabling Nigerian youths to unleash their entrepreneurial skills.

The Next Titan is an excellent opportunity for youths to discover themselves and bring their entrepreneurial skills and ideas to the limelight. The show will premiere on the 18th of October and is open to Nigerians between the ages of 21 and 40. 

Executive Producer of the Next Titan, Mide Akinlaja said that the essence of the show is to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of young people and to project the possibility of entrepreneurship transforming the Nigerian economy and the lives of participant with a single business idea.

Previously, the selection process involves a physical audition staged at different locations in Nigeria, where contestants are given a platform to pitch their business ideas. This year, the audition will hold online and participants will be expected to log into the website, fill the form, and upload a ‘two minutes’ video summarizing their business ideas. After the audition, 50 contestants will be selected for the top 50 online boot camp; where series of tests, activities and challenges will hold till the final selection of 16 outstanding contestants. The shortlisted 16 will move to the ‘Titan Mansion,’ where the competition will involve a weekly business task.

The organizers disclosed that the show will be held for 10 weeks and selected contestants will live together in the Titan Mansion for the duration. The show will have housemates tasked with 10 tough business task and each housemate is expected to demonstrate entrepreneurial skills by providing insights to every task given. In order to avoid eviction, contestants must be outstanding in all their deeds. However, the sum of ₦10,000, 000 will be awarded to the winner to support the winner’s new business idea or existing business venture.

The Next Titan show will be graced by renowned Nigerian leaders who will serve as judges on the show, and will also motivate, mentor, and train the contestants. Weekly, the contestants will be grouped and led by their supervisor to tackle a business task. Organizers hold that contestants will be expected to return to the weekly board room on completion of task. 

From 2013, six entrepreneurs in various fields of expertise have emerged winners, two of which recently made the “Forbes’ Africa 30 under 30 Entrepreneurs,” namely: David Okeowo, CEO Enterprise Hills and Ogechukwu Alex Obah, CEO BodylikeMilk, a skincare product. 

The 7th edition of the show is headlined by Heritage Bank Plc in association with Haven Homes and Sifax Group. The show also received sponsorship from Ford Motors, Coscharis Motors, Rite Foods, MIDEA, Mikano, Master Furniture, Nikky Taurus Nigeria and HOG furniture.
