The UNICEF Internship is a paid programme with salary and employment opportunities for university students and recent graduates from globally.
The programme offers the participants the opportunity to gain direct practical experience with UNICEF’s work. When a UNICEF office identifies the need for an intern to support their team, they publish the opportunity, and all eligible candidates can submit their application through our website.

Internship Requirements:
To be considered for the internship, you must:
1. Be an undergraduate or a recent graduate in a relevant field
2. Have good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multi-cultural team
3. Have previous relevant work or volunteer experience
4. Demonstrable excellence in verbal, written and interpersonal communication in English (including active listening and information synthesis and strong writing abilities)
5. Demonstrable proof of excellent academic performance
Internship Duration and Reward:
The Internship is a paid programme and interns are offered;
1. Training
2. Employment
3. Monthly Allowance – the monthly salary will be equal to 70% of the net monthly salary of the GS level 3 step 1 of the location of the remote internship
4. The Internship duration varies between the periods of 4-12 months
