Adédèjì Ọlọ́wẹ̀

Adédèjì Ọlọ́wẹ̀ is the Founder of Lendsqr, a startup providing access to credit for Africans, and Chief Executive Officer of Trium Networks Limited, a venture builder and venture capital firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. Adédèjì Ọlọ́wẹ̀ alongside other industry experts also founded Open Banking Nigeria, a nonprofit driving the development and adoption of a common API standard for the Nigerian financial industry. 

Adédèjì Ọlọ́wẹ̀ has vast experience in the banking and financial technology industries which has seen him lead many initiatives in business automation, customer experience, electronic banking, sales and marketing, product development and performance management.

Previously, he was an Executive Director with SystemSpecs Limited (Remita – February 2017 to March 2018), one of the largest fintech in Nigeria. At SystemSpecs Limited, he was tasked with growing the organisation’s portfolio across the nation, boosting its brands to end-users and transforming the organisation’s emergence as a key player in retail payment, through working with key stakeholders to ensure improved user experience.

Before SystemSpecs, Adedeji was the Head of Cards and Digital Payments at Atlas Mara Limited (October 2016 to February 2017) where he worked closely with Fintech firms, experts and customers to build the next generation of digital payment platforms and solutions across Africa.

Earlier, he was the Divisional Head of Electronic Banking at Fidelity Bank Plc, Nigeria where he was significant in the transformation of the bank’s digital business through the implementation of innovative and profitable products. 

Adédèjì has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure and Kings College, London. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society.

The entrepreneur is currently building technology, creating data streams, and orchestrating ecosystems and platforms that would allow Africans, starting with Nigerians, to have access to affordable credit; one lender at a time. During his free time, he writes about diverse subjects, including science and science fiction, technology, medical engineering and digital payments.
