Boye Oshinaga

Boye Oshinaga is the Chief Executive Officer of Gradely, Nigeria’s first personalized learning platform. Gradely uses artificial intelligence to personalize learning materials such as video lessons and practice questions for students. This is achieved by using data from regular assessments to recommend just-in-time learning resources to help students achieve success in their fields. As CEO, Boye Oshinaga works alongside a smart team to improve the learning outcomes of the students.

Before Gradely, Boye co-founded Riby, a fintech company that helps over three million Nigerians manage their finances more efficiently. He also worked in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer from July 2013 to December 2016. Boye was also the Vice President, of Edutech at Venture Garden Group, a Nigerian technology company focused on helping African traditional universities manage campus degree programs online by using technology for process management, recruitment, admissions, and advisory.

Boye received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, and a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos State.

A certified teacher, mentor, investor, and writer, Boye’s professional life centers around leading Edtech startups. One of these startups launched the country’s first locally-accredited online degree program with over 5,000 students.

Some skills that have helped Boye achieve success include team leadership, product development, corporate strategy, business development, software sales, and marketing. All of these have also helped him receive several awards and recognitions for his work. In March 2020, Gradely was awarded “The Best Adaptive Learning solution of the Year” at the inaugural edition of the Edtech Summit Awards, organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and AFRITEX,

Boye’s passion for better educational outcomes has led him to volunteer in several organizations including SchoolsCompass, Startup Campus, and Children of Haggai Foundation.
