Burna boy and Rema nominated for BET 2020 Awards

BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards is an award ceremony held every year in the United States. The annual awards celebrate creative expression and black excellence across music, film, television, sports and philanthropy.

This year’s nominees reflect an abundance of creative expression and black excellence across music, television, film, sports, and philanthropy. The nominations were selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is composed of fans and an esteemed group of entertainment professionals in the fields of television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and creative arts.

Grammy-nominated Burna Boy was nominated in the Best International Act segment, a category he won in 2019 while Rema was nominated in Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category.

The 2020 BET Awards will air live on June 28 across different networks including BET and BET HER. The show will be a virtual celebration because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
