Burna Boy, Asake and Rema Have Been Nominated For The BRIT Awards 2024
Nigerian afrobeats stars, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema have been nominated for the 2024 edition of the highest profile music awards ceremony in the UK, the BRIT Awards.
The BRIT Awards, which were first held in 1977, have become one of the most prestigious music awards ceremonies in the world that celebrates excellence in the music industry, recognizing achievements by British and international artists.

Rema’s “Calm Down” was nominated in the highly coveted International Song of the Year category, while Burna Boy and Asake were nominated in the International Artist of the Year category.
Burna Boy and Asake were nominated along with other global superstars including Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Lanarkshire Del Rey, SZA, CMAT, and Caroline Polachek.
Rema’s “Calm Down” was nominated alongside global hits like Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For,” Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red,” Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” SZA’s “Kill Bill,” Libianca’s “People,” Tyla’s “Water.”
The 2024 Brit Awards is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024 on ITV1 and ITVX.
