Chet Bashari Anekwe Joins Cast of Tyler Perry’s TV Series – Assisted Living
Chet Bashari Anekwe, award-winning actor and filmmaker has joined the cast of the new season of Tyler Perry’s TV series titled “Assisted Living.” Chet Anekwe’s creative works span Hollywood, Nollywood and the New York Theatre.
“I am honoured and happy to finally be able to announce that I have joined the cast of Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living”, says Chet Anekwe while responding to his new feat.
Season 2 of the movie, Assisted Living premieres on the 25th of May 2021, on BET.

Chet Anekwe has featured in various Nollywood films such as “Heaven’s Hell,” “30 Days,” “On Bended Knee,” and “Twisted” amongst others. In 2012, the Nigerian-born was nominated for AMAA awards’ Best Actor in a Lead Role, for the movie “Unwanted Guest”, and won the 2012 Best Actor – Diaspora for “Bianca”.
Chet Anekwe was also 2012 Nollywood Film Critics’ Award (NAFCA) winner for Best Actor – Diaspora, “Unwanted Guest” and the 2014 Nollywood and African Film Critics’ Awards (NAFCA) nominee for Best Actor in Supporting Role Diaspora Film, “When one Door Closes.”
Chet Anekwe has featured in Hollywood films such as “Phat Girlz” and “How to Get Away with Murder”.
