Chris Kwekowe
Chris Kwekowe is a young Nigerian entrepreneur, product leader and technology consultant with over 10 years experience. He is the Co-Founder and Board Chair of Slatecube, a technology company that develops AI powered software-as-a-service systems for learning and workforce development.
Slatecube was birthed as a social enterprise to upgrade Africa’s workforce by solving the constraints of e-learning and providing virtual internship opportunities and employment for its users.
Since inception in 2014, the platform has grown and it boasts of an 80 percent employment rate for its users. In 2015, Chris won the Anzisha Prize which came with a $25,000 reward which helped fund the start-up by freelancing as web designers and running a software solutions firm on the side.

Chris’ expertise in product management covers full spectrum, from ideation to launch, support and scaling. With a strong focus on data-informed decision making, Chris has a proven track record of successfully executing controlled experiments and creating MVPs to test market fit, while continuously measuring and accelerating growth through relevant metrics.
Chris sees the average young African as a global force to be reckoned with and his tenets are embedded in his effort to make ICT the propeller on which they thrive.
Chris completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and several graduate certifications from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Maryland and London Business School.
Chris spends his time actively negotiating deals with investors and partnering with big tech multinationals like Microsoft, Intel, and Google.
Also, Slatecube has been expanding its reach to other African countries like Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya, in line with Kwekowe’s vision to expand his start-up across Africa.
