Dr. Isioma Idemudia
Dr. Isioma Idemudia is a technologist, cloud solutions architect, business intelligence specialist, best-selling author and a self-taught Amazon Web Service Solutions (AWS) architect. She is currently an AWS Cloud Solutions associate manager at Accenture, one of the world’s largest IT consulting firms where she supports companies across North America to design and deploy cutting edge applications on the AWS Cloud.
Dr. Isioma Idemudia grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Port Harcourt and her master’s degree in Information Technology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Osun state, Nigeria. She has a Ph.D. in Innovation and Technology Management from the University of Port Harcourt/Pretoria. Dr. Isioma also has a Diploma in innovation and strategy from Harvard University.
Dr Isioma Idemudia is passionate about raising the next generation of leaders. She is dedicated to ensuring the development of women in technology. Her passion is not just a feeling, she has published a framework to guide women on their digital and technology journey. Her book,
“Out of Africa & Into the Cloud: Girls can Code too” was released in April 2020. The book provides a critical insight on how women (young and experienced alike) can nurture their dreams of succeeding in male-dominated fields such as information technology.

She also mentors and provides guidance to professional women through Accenture where she teaches the next generation of female leaders. She leads the community engagement arm of the AWS Women in Cloud initiative, which is primarily an initiative that seeks to educate more women and girls about AWS. She has partnered with international organizations such as Girls Who Code and Black Girls Code to educate more than 200 girls.
