Eloho Omame Gihan-Mbelu is the founding Managing Director and CEO of Endeavor Nigeria, a non-profit organisation, active in 31 countries, that supports some of the most exciting high-impact entrepreneurs and scale-up companies globally. Eloho is our WCW for today. With a career spanning more than 15 years, Eloho has worked with entrepreneurs, companies, and teams across multiple industries, at a range of developmental stages.

Eloho Omame Gihan-Mbelu holds an MBA degree from the London Business School and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Prior to the establishment of Endeavor Nigeria in 2018, Eloho served as the Managing Partner of Amari, a proprietary firm she founded, that focused on working with and selectively investing in early-stage and innovation-driven companies in Nigeria. At Amari, Eloho conceptualised, designed, and launched ‘Lagos Innovates’, a portfolio of startup support programs sponsored and operated by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.

As an ambitious and value-driven career woman, Eloho Omame Gihan-Mbelu has worked as a former Vice-President at General Atlantic, a $20bn global growth private equity firm, where she focused on sub-Saharan Africa; former Head of Corporate Development at First Bank of Nigeria, and a former investment banker at Renaissance Capital and Credit Suisse, London, where she focused on M&A and financial advisor transactions.

Currently, Eloho is leading Endeavor Nigeria‘s operations. Currently, the organisation is working with 11 companies including Flutterwave, Cars45, Paga, Filmhouse, and FilmOne, Kobo360, among others. Endeavor actively supports the entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, talent, and expertise, capital, and new markets.

Eloho Omame Gihan-Mbelu is passionate about entrepreneurship and believes that entrepreneurship, at scale, is the best tool for economic empowerment in developing markets.
