Emmanuel Michael

Emmanuel Michael was recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Global HR Leaders in 2018 and 101 Global HR Heros in 2019. He is a certified Leadership and Career Success Coach, and a strategic business leader with over 20 years of management experience spanning industries such as Engineering, Information Technology, Hospitality and Financial Services. Emmanuel Michael currently works as Head of People and Culture at Letshego Nigeria, where he builds the capacity of business leaders to create great employee experiences. He hosts HrwithEM, weekly career development and employee experience thought program, across different social channels.

Before Letshego, Emmanuel worked as Head, Human Resources at Accion Microfinance Bank Limited from January 2011 to May 2016. There, he formulated policies and strategies for the implementation of business partnering and Communication amongst other duties. He also served as Human Resources Manager for Nigeria and West Africa at African Sun Limited.

Emmanuel is certified from top institutions including Obafemi Awolowo University (Information Management), Frederick Taylor University (Human Resources Management), Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University (Managing People for Strategic Advantage), Harvard Business School Executive Education ( Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance) and Cornell University ILR School (Strategic Human Resources Management).

He is a subject matter expert with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), the USA and serves as a career and business mentor on several platforms including The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), FATE Foundation, and GROW by Hacking HR amongst others. As well as being a  strong voice on current HR issues and trends on social media, Emmanuel enjoys public speaking on both local and international platforms.

The leader’s contribution to the global HR community has earned him several international accolades.
