Emmanuel Ola-Olowoyo

Emmanuel Ola-Olowoyo is a development catalyst and leading scholar in Sustainable Development Practice from Nigeria. He is the Co-Founder of Advance Initiative for International Development (AIIDEV) Africa, a social enterprise aimed at creating a sustainable future for all citizens of Nigeria and Africa.

Emmanuel specializes in formulating developmental policies and programmes, constructing multidisciplinary research and projects that will alleviate global problems like endemic poverty, malnutrition, inequality, unemployment and underdevelopment. 

In a bid to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs), AIIDEV Africa recently launched the Teach4SDGs project. The initiative seeks to empower school teachers across African countries, by equipping them with the required knowledge, skills, and tools to effectively teach their students about the SDGs by 2025.

Emmanuel has led his team to record huge progress particularly in the world’s largest human continent, Africa. He envisions building a system that creates economic development, innovation, investment and jobs that will lead people out of poverty and malnutrition.

Emmanuel completed a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology Akure and a master’s degree in Sustainable Development Practice from the University of Ibadan.

In addition to his work at AIIDEV, Emmanuel is the Network Coordinator of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Nigeria. He is also a business consultant and a media expert, creating amazing business transformational models and visual contents for business growth and sustainability.

Emmanuel’s research interest focuses on Education for Sustainable Development, Green Economy, Circular Economy, Climate Action, Renewable Energy, Technology and Artificial Intelligence. He is the pioneer of the Genius Bee Innovation Programme, Rural Restoration, Academicity and Schoolhelp.
