Ewaoluwa Olatunji Sets New Guinness World Records For The Longest Marathon of Singing Christmas Songs

Ewaoluwa Olatunji, popularly known as Ewa Cole or Queen of Afro-Solk, has been awarded the record for the longest marathon of singing Christmas songs by the Guinness World Records (GWR).

Ewa sang for a total of 31 hours from December 27 to 28, 2023, and has become the inaugural holder of this record.

According to GWR,  Ewa sang classic Christmas songs such as “Deck the Halls”, “Frosty the Snowman”, “Silent Night”, and many others. She was not allowed to repeat any song within one hour.

Excited, Ewa acknowledged that she considered giving up, especially during the most challenging period between the eighth and 12th hours, but she’s grateful that she was able to pull through.

She said, “I never once stopped singing, even when I completely lost my voice. I will say that God was absolutely by my side throughout.”

Ewa undertook the challenge with the aim of promoting peace and unity, and to inspire confidence in young people.
