Olufunke Agbor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Senior Partner at ACAS-Law has been named the first female President of the Nigerian Maritime Law Association (NMLA). Funke currently serves as a Senior Partner and the head of the Shipping and Dispute Resolution Group of ACAS-Law.

Oliver Sunday Akanite, a Nigerian highlife musician and guitarist, popularly know as Oliver de Coque, was celebrated by Google with a doodle, on his 74th posthumous birthday. Crowned the ‘Highlife King of Africa,’ Oliver de Coque is widely revered as one of the continents most prolific recording artists.

Nigerian-British actress Bukky Bakray recently received the EE Rising Star Award at the 2021 BAFTAs, amid loud cheering from friends, family, and fans. The young and amazing actress received the prestigious accolade after appearing in the BAFTA-nominated film Rocks, which was directed by Sarah Gavron.

8 Months Pregnant Aminat Idrees Crowned Taekwondo Champion

26-year-old Taekwondo champion Aminat Idrees recently received well-deserved accolades from fans within and out of Nigeria, after demonstrating impressive Taekwondo moves. Aminat, who represented Lagos State at the festival – Nigeria’s ‘Local Olympics’ won gold in the Mixed Poomsae category in taekwondo, silver in the team Poomsae and bronze in the individual Poomsae.
