Interview With The Creative Director Of Tai.Lore Clothing co
Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?
I have always loved seeking solutions to problems and creating value. I noticed how hard it was to find affordable, Nigerian tailored shirts in exact sizes with great finishing. so we started by seeking tailors who had a great eye for detail and that was how it all began.
What inspired the idea of the “Tai.Lore” brand and when did you start your initiative?
Tai.Lore started about five years ago after my master’s in architecture. A friend and I were really lovers of the fashion business and how we could create great value for people.
What motivates you and what are the principles that guide your business?
Motivation for me comes from different sources; family, nature, and the beautiful idea of success. Our business is hinged on integrity and creativity.

In your industry, what makes you unique?
I’m a firm believer in the saying, “A team is only as strong as its weakest link” and at Tai.Lore, we have a family-oriented mindset. I don’t see my tailors as my staff, they are part of my family, and so we ensure everyone is doing their best (work-wise, physically, emotionally, and mentally) in order to produce the best. so I would say our uniqueness lies not just in the quality of the products we put out, but in the care and love that goes into the production.
What has been your greatest entrepreneurial success?
Personally, I started this business to provide a solution in the industry. so I rate my success in accordance with that. success to me is every single time we send an order out and the client sends their review. I’m always so elated, grinning from ear to ear like a child on Christmas morning. Most people don’t understand it, especially because it happens every single day, and just can’t place it, but that is really one of the things that give me a sense of accomplishment.
What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
I get asked this question a lot and I can’t singlehandedly place an answer. I love the idea of being the “solution to my client’s clothing problems”. I also love being able to create jobs for people with families, it gives me a sense of fulfillment daily.
