Iyinoluwa Aboyeji Is the General Partner and Founder of Future Africa Fund, a people-powered innovation platform that provides capital, coaching and community to mission-driven innovators, aimed at turning Africa’s biggest challenges into business opportunities. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji has developed a vast career by co-founding two of Africa’s leading technology companies – Andela and Flutterwave. He is a successful young entrepreneur whose passion lies within the public interest. He constantly focuses on building a remarkable African future by partnering with missionary talents and capital.

Iyinoluwa holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo. He currently sits on the board of several institutions like the Paris’ Share Africa Project, Rainbow Educational Services Limited, FilmoRealty and Loyola Jesuit College.
Iyinoluwa spent most of 2016 – 2018 as the CEO and Managing Director of Flutterwave, a payment technology and infrastructure company aimed at connecting Africa to the global economy. At Flutterwave, Iyinoluwa contributed to the financial growth of the company by shaping it to become one of the fastest-growing payments technology businesses in Africa. During his stay, the business processed over 100 million transactions worth more than $2.5 billion. Additionally, Iyinoluwa alongside his experienced team established over 50 bank and multinational partners. Due to this remarkable development, the company attracted significant investment from prominent players in the global payment space like Y Combinator, Greycroft, Greenvisor Capital, Mastercard and more.
Prior to co-founding Flutterwave, Iyinoluwa co-founded Andela, Africa’s largest engineering organization that connects companies and businesses with engineering talents in emerging markets. During his stay at Andela, the company expanded across the African continents, raising hundreds of millions of dollars from both local and international investors which includes Mark Zuckerberg and the former United States Vice President, Al Gore.
In January 2020, Iyinoluwa announced the launch of Future Africa Fund, with the aim to fund twenty innovative African startups with the sum of $50,000 annually. By founding Future Africa Funds, Iyinoluwa aims to help African businesses access a vast network of talents. Also, through coaching and mentorship opportunities Iyinoluwa and his team thrive on building a community where critical conversations and actions will be taken to build Africa’s future. The Future Africa Fund which had Iyinoluwa and Nadayar Enegesi as the founding limited partners has attracted other members and partners like Chuba Ezekwesili.
Iyinoluwa has received various recognitions for his outstanding leadership and entrepreneurship qualities. In 2010, Iyinoluwa received a John C Holland award for Youth Leadership by the JC Holland Foundation. He was also recognized as Nigeria’s top 20 under 20 by Ynaija and was named a World Economic Forum Global Shaper in 2012. While advancing in his career, Iyinoluwa was listed among Forbes 30 under 30 as the Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa, a West Africa Mobile Award, New African Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Africans and Business Day 50 Most Influential Nigerians in 2017. In 2018, he was later listed as one of Forbes 30 under 30 people under the Enterprise Technology Section and as one of the World Economic Forum ‘Young Global Leaders.
