Jason Njoku
Jason Njoku is the Chief Executive Officer of iROKO Partners, an online distribution company focused on the Nigerian entertainment industry. The multi-award-winning entrepreneur is credited with pioneering the African digital market, igniting Nigeria’s internet and technology startup as well as revolutionizing Nollywood’s global distribution system. In the process, he has raised more than $40 million in investment from international Venture Capitals such as Tiger Global, Kinnevik, RISE Capital and Canal+ including launching iROKOtv, a streaming platform for Nollywood movies and television series and ROK TV channel, a free-to-air, 24-hour Nollywood movie and series channel available on Sky in the UK and DStv across Africa.
Jason Njoku holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester. With over 10 years of experience as a leader in the media scene, he has gained expertise in online advertisement, business discovery, business strategy, business development, product management, and leadership.
Jason Njoku started iROKO after previously managing several enterprises including a blog network and web design company. Since its launch in 2010, the streaming service has collected the world’s largest online Nollywood content and it is currently one of the continent’s largest internet television providers.
Other brilliant investments by Jason include Blackbet, a product-driven, Africa sports book operator and Betty Bingo, a Nigerian community of fun-loving bingo, slots and online gaming enthusiasts.
