Jerry Isaac Mallo, the Creative Fabrication Engineer Credited with Inventing Nigeria’s First Carbon Fibre Sports Car
Jerry Isaac Mallo, a young Fabrication engineer, entrepreneur, and founder of Bennie Technologies Limited, is the creator of Africa’s first-ever sports car. The car, named Bennie Purrie is made in Nigeria and available in West Africa.
Bennie Purrie is manufactured from recyclable eco-friendly materials. For Jerry Mallo, the availability of the resources for fabricating the car is one of the driving force for this innovation. It is produced with fibre so as to enable it to withstand shocks, and protected with recycled fibreglass, also known as reinforced plastic. The car is also made with tubular chassis, which accounts for its firmness and adaptability to roads.
To ensure that the car has a conducive temperature, Jerry said it was produced with four radiators. Also, for the speed, the first model of the car moves from 0 to 120 in 12 seconds, with a 2.0-litre engine that produces about 130 big horsepower.
Jerry wanted to spotlight other skilled persons, hence the challenge to make a ‘practically inclined’ move, which would serve as a platform for others to produce beautiful products.
Since its launch in 2019, Bennie Purrie has received viral sensations and recommendations from several angles in Nigeria and Africa. With the continent being a big marketplace for luxury vehicles and products, Jerry is more inspired to unveil this product and more for the use of the public.
Jerry Mallo is not new to making inventions. He alongside his team recently made it to the list of global tech-innovators producing locally-made ventilators to fight the global pandemic, and alleviate the challenges of many. Also, at his Agro and Industrial Machine design and fabrication company located in Jos, Jerry has fabricated various in-demand machines to aid farm processes and add value to the agricultural food chain in Nigeria and the world. Some of his products include Bennie Tractors, Rice Destoning Machine, Bennie Plastic Melting Machine, Grinding Machine and Combined Thresher amongst others.
He has been recognized as the face of MSME in Nigeria and the winner of the 2017 National MSME Awards.
