Two outstanding Nigerian women are among this year’s award recipients. They have broken barriers and left indelible marks on the sands of time.

Mosunmola Abudu, popularly known as Mo Abudu, a towering figure in Nigeria’s media and entertainment industry, won the 2024 Forbes Woman Africa Businesswoman Award. The founder and CEO of EbonyLife Media, Abudu, has led groundbreaking initiatives that have reshaped the narrative of African storytelling.

Mo Abudu’s commitment to producing high-quality films, television shows, and digital content has elevated the Nigerian movie industry onto the global stage.

Forbes described the media force as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman” and rated as one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Global Television” by The Hollywood Reporter.

Alongside Mo Abudu, another Nigerian, Zuriel Elise Oduwole, won the “Young Achiever Awar” at the 2024 Forbes Woman Africa Award. The Nigerian-American education advocate and youngest filmmaker in the world has leveraged her platform to champion the cause of African girls and advocate for access to quality education.
