Nigeria’s Ex-minister Frank Nweke Jr Elected President of Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria

Nigeria’s Ex-minister Frank Nweke Jr, has been elected President of Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria (HKSAAN). Frank Nweke obtained a master’s in public administration from the prestigious Harvard institution in 2008 after leaving the federal cabinet. Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria is the only Harvard Kennedy School alumni association in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria (HKSAAN) school is the public policy school of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The school’s mission is to improve public policy and leadership so that people can live in safer, freer, more just, and more prosperous society.

Frank has previously served as minister for intergovernmental affairs, special duties and youth development and later information and communications under former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s government.

In his acceptance speech, Frank said, “As beneficiaries of a Harvard education and its accompanying networks and pedigree, the burden of responsibility is upon us to do all that we can to lead in navigating this new world by contributing our knowledge, skills, experience, network and resources, towards transforming our country, society, and communities for the better.”

Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria (HKSAAN) helps its alumni connect with the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and with fellow graduates in Nigeria, through a series of activities and events.

Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria (HKSAAN) also elected Aminu Mukhtar Dan’amu as its vice president. Innocent Isichei, a governmental affairs and public policy professional as the new secretary. Adaora Ugwu, a senior public finance specialist and chartered forensic accountant was elected as the treasurer. Kunmi Adio-Moses, a development economist with over 20 years of experience in public service was also elected as the new program secretary while Victoria Fajemilehin Ayanleye will serve as the executive education representative.

The new executives will direct the affairs of the alumni association for the next two years.
