Odunayo Eweniyi, the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Piggyvest, the foremost online savings platform in Africa is our WCW today. Odunayo Eweniyi had previously co-founded Pushcv.com, one of Africa’s largest job sites with a concrete database of prescreened candidates. She is also the Co-founder of Wine and Whine Nigeria, one of Nigeria’s women-focused communities.

Odunayo is a first-class graduate of the renowned Covenant University, where she earned her first degree in Computer Engineering. She is currently undergoing her master’s degree in Finance (Banking) at the SOAS University of London. Odunayo has 5 years of demonstrated experience in Business Analysis and Operations. 

She has contributed significantly to the African business and technology sector. She has received several awards and recognitions. In 2019, Odunayo received a remarkable recognition in her career as she was part of the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 in Technology, one of 30 Quartz Africa Innovators, SME Entrepreneur of the Year in West Africa by The Asian Banker’s Wealth and Society, and was also the youngest on Forbes Africa list of 20 New Wealth Creators in Africa. In the same year, Odunayo also made the list of Business Day’s Spark 2019 Women to Watch. Also, in recognition of her innovative contributions in the Nigerian technology sector, Odunayo was named among 100 most inspiring women in Nigeria, 2019 by Leading Ladies Africa and made it to the list of the 50 most visible women in Technology by Tech Cabal.

Between 2017 and 2018, Odunayo became a notable innovator to watch out for. She was named among World Women in Fintech Power List and was consecutively YNaija Most Influential People in Technology (2017 & 2018). She was a 2018 Westerwelle Young Entrepreneurs fellow and an awardee at the Future Africa Prize in Technology.

Odunayo works passionately to support women inclusion in technology through collaborations with female-based initiatives such as For Creative Girls, GreenHouse Labs and She Leads Africa.

Odunayo Eweniyi currently sits on the advisory board of various organizations such as TrainFuture, an Edutech company based in Switzerland; the Gender Lens Acceleration Best Practices Initiative; and the International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WeFi).
