Oke Bayode Thomas Receives the Diana Award for Young Heroes

24-year-old Oke Bayode Thomas recently received the most prestigious award a young person can receive for social impact and humanitarian efforts.
Oke Bayode Thomas has been honored with the Diana Award for World Young Heroes. The award is given to young people who go above and beyond in their daily lives to create and sustain positive change to their environment and society at large.
The Diana Award for Young Heroes was established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales and endorsed by the two sons of late princess Diana, the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex, William and Harry.
As a fellow of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), he is passionate about youths getting access to excellent mentors. He is a Co-founder of Mentors in Nigeria Initiative, a community of mentors that supports young people to make empowered decisions. Oke Bayode-Thomas works with community-based organizations and government health institutions to promote health education. He is a YALI (Young African Leadership Initiative) Fellow.

On receiving the Diana Award, young people are given access to a unique development program which aims to further increase their already proven capacity for innovation, leadership and social change, through access to resources, opportunities and training, both face to face and online.
