Olutosin Oni Appointed CEO of Gokada
Gokada, a Nigerian logistics company, has appointed Olutosin Oni as its new Chief Executive Officer. The newly appointed will lead the company in its effort to expand beyond Nigeria. He succeeds the former CEO, Nikhil Goel.
Before his appointment, Olutosin Oni was the Managing Principal, Investments and Portfolio Management at EchoVC Partners, a venture fund with investments in 36 technology-focused companies spanning 5 continents including Africa, Europe, and America. At EchoVC Partners, Olutosin worked on and supported the firm’s investment in Mines.io, PayJoy, SystemOne, World Cover, Kukua, and FinAccess. Under his leadership, the firm invested more than $40 million in companies that later raised over $300 million in investments.
Before EchoVC, he was Vice President, of structuring at FBN Capital Limited from 2011 to 2014, where he managed the launch of the structuring desk and led the development of the desk’s risk management and performance management frameworks. He was also responsible for setting up the firm’s structured product vehicle through which the company managed over ₦100 billion in assets and led the development of FBN Capital’s Market Making desk. Also at FBN Capital, Olutosin advised on more than $500 million of debt financing for Nigerian corporates, including Nigeria’s first Residential Mortgage-Backed Securitization, and further advised on the restructuring of $300 million in debt.

Olutosin holds a master’s degree in Computing Science and another in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
Olutosin’s career spans investments, debt management, and capital management. He has managed, developed, and executed various strategies to develop a pipeline of new investment products for different companies.
Olutosin has developed investment products for high-net-worth clients, overseen financial modeling, and provided quality advice to clients on capital raising options.
