Ommo Clark
Ommo Clark is the Chief Executive Officer and Founding Director of iBez Nigeria, an indigenous technology company focused on catering for the needs of businesses in emerging and underserved markets by developing software applications and online platforms to train young software developers on modern software development processes. iBez is the producer of Handy-Jack, a platform that connects craftspersons and professional service providers with those in need of their service.
Ommo Clark holds a bachelor’s (Hons) degree in Business Administration from the London Metropolitan University, UK and a master’s in Information Systems from Brunel University, London.
Ommo Clark is a Software Designer and Entrepreneur with over 20 years of professional experience. Some of her previous roles include being an Application Support Consultant with Real Asset Management, from 2001 to 2004. She joined the investment bank, Lehman Brothers as a team leader in the Mortgage capital division from 2004 to 2007. Ommo later joined Icelandic Investment Bank, where she served as IT Project Manager. On her return to Nigeria in 2008, Ommo joined Soft Solutions Limited as Head, Project Delivery and Support, from 2009 to 2010 before joining International Development Company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2012.
In 2013, Ommo founded iBez Nigeria to promote and showcase the value of locally developed software applications. Selected products created by iBez include Schools Network Integrated Programme (SNIP); Project Management Information System (PMIS), Hotel Motel Solution, Let’s Share, and Exchange BBP amongst others.
Ommo is a Global Women Entrepreneurs Initiative (GWEI2015) Fellow of the Ivan Allen College, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and a Digital Auditor certified by the International Trade Centre (ITC). She is a member of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Women in Technology (W-Tech) Mentorship team for girls and Mentor at Founder Institute, Lagos.
Ommo seats on the Boards of distinguished organizations such as the West Africa Exhibitions and Conferences Limited and WomenNCareer, an NGO focused on supporting women and girls as they develop their careers.
The techpreneur is a recipient of several awards and recognitions. In 2020, she received an Award of Excellence for her efforts in the youth development in Edo State, Nigeria, she was honoured with a merit award for ICT/Technology by the Izon Ladies Association in 2020, she was nominated for the 2019 ELOY Award for ICT/Technology innovation, and listed as one of the 41 Nigerian female entrepreneurs putting Nigeria on the global map, by the Lioness of Africa in 2016.
