Phoebe Dami-Asolo Announced as Director of Operations for Coca-Cola India, Southwest Asia

Phoebe Dami-Asolo has been announced as the Director of Operations for Coca-Cola India, Southwest Asia. This makes her the first African female to occupy such a position in Coca-Cola.

In her response, Dami-Asolo described her appointment as “an incredible opportunity” and “a humbling one which she hopes will inspire young African Talents to stop at nothing to achieve their dreams, especially females”.

“I’m thrilled to assume my role as the Director of Operations at Coca-Cola India, especially at a time when African women and women in general, have so much to contribute to global economic development.”

Dami-Asolo was previously a Senior Commercial Manager at Coca-cola, where she has worked since December 2019.

Dami-Asolo’s impressive career spans managing the brands of several multinationals across different categories including beverages, consumer packaged goods, and personal and home care products.

Before Coca-cola, Dami-Asolo worked at Reckitt West Africa, managing all brands within Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon. Before Reckitt, she was Brand Manager for International premium strong bow; Apple Ciders, Nigeria Breweries Plc, after successfully managing the Non-Alcoholic Category; Amstel Malta, Fayrouz and Maltina at Nigeria Breweries Plc.

A trained marketing and commercial professional, Dami-Asolo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Manchester University in the UK, a Master of Science in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from the Imperial College Business School, London, a strategic marketing certification from Harvard University as well as a certification in Brand Management and Brand Leadership in a fierce economy from the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University.
