Rotimi Akinosho’s “In my Bed” is Certified Gold!
The single “In my Bed” by Rotimi Akinosho, professionally known as Rotimi was certified gold on the 13th of July 2021 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This means that the single has successfully sold over 500,000 units in the U.S.
The song, which featured Nigerian-American rapper Wale, was released in 2019 as part of his EP “The Beauty Of Becoming“.
This feat was disclosed by Rotimi on his official Instagram page on the 14th of July, where he stated that hard work is a key factor in his achievement.

Rotimi is a Nigerian-American R&B singer, actor and model. His music videos have been featured on international and U.S. based entertainment media including MTV Base and VH1 Soul. The talented singer has performed on stage, opening for Jennifer Hudson, TI, Estelle and Nerd. He also performed on BET’s show “106 and Park” and appeared in R&B singer Keyshia Cole’s music video “Trust and Believe”.
In 2015, his music career took a different turn when he was signed by 50 Cent, an American rapper and Executive Producer of “Power”, to his label, G-Unit Records. Rotimi also released his first G-Unit single “Lotto” featuring 50 Cent.
In 2016, Rotimi released “Doin It”, a single from his 5-track project, Summer Bangerz and in 2017, he released his debut EP called Jeep Music Vol.1.
In 2019 he released a single titled “Love Riddim” which has caught the attention of fans around the world.
