Simi Is Spotify EQUAL Africa Artist for July
Nigerian singer, Simi, has been named Spotify EQUAL Africa Artist for July. Spotify is a global streaming platform that provides access to millions of songs from Nigeria, Africa, and around the world
This comes after the release of Simi’s latest album, ‘To Be Honest (TBH)’, released on the 3rd of June, 2022.
To Be Honest – TBH features Adekunle Gold and guest appearances from Deja and Fave. The album, which is Simi’s fourth studio album contains 11 tracks, including solo tracks by Simi.
As the latest ambassador of the Spotify EQUAL Africa Artiste program, Simi joins other Nigerian artists like Tiwa Savage, in a music program that aims to spotlight and amplify the voices of talented African female artists making waves in the music scene. The EQUAL program also aims to foster gender equality and provide a platform where artists are genuinely celebrated.
The program spans seven categories including the EQUAL artiste of the month and the EQUAL local playlists. Simi will be featured on the EQUAL Africa and the EQUAL Global playlists.
