Soul Yin Breaks the World Record for the Longest DJ Set Ever
Nigerian Disk Jockey (DJ) and singer, Soul Yin has broken the world record for the longest DJ set ever. She broke the record by operating her set for 243 hours, 30 minutes, at The Grill by Yanna, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The record was previously held by a Nigerian, DJ Obi, when he performed for 230 hours at the Sao Cafe in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dj Obi broke the previous record of 200 hours which was set by a Polish DJ, Norbert Selmaj in Dublin, 2014.
A DJ attempting to break this record is allowed a 5-minute break every hour and must have a dancer all through the attempt. Previously played songs must also not be repeated within 4 hours of playing them.
Yin started her set on the 20th of September through the 1st of October 2021, with a groundbreaking feat to her name.
