Being an investment professional with over 7 years’ demonstrated experience in the financial industry, Tomilola Adejana has gained expertise in financial analysis, financial modelling, business analysis, market planning, portfolio management and project management. Her interest spans Startups Management and Development, Entrepreneurship, Fintech, Development Finance, Marketing and Branding, as well as Consulting. At various stages of her career, Tomilola Adejana has exerted a strong ability to adapt and evolve by employing strong analytical, communication, leadership and problem solving skills.

Tomilola obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physiology from the University of Lagos in 2009, a certificate in Strategic Innovation and Business Development from the Lagos Business School, 2014 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Investment Banking and Wealth Management from SP Jain School of Global Management in 2015.

Shortly after her study in Singapore, Tomilola joined a friend to develop SmartCredit, a lending platform born out of a partnership between Access Bank and Airtel. 

Prior to joining Bankly as the CEO, Tomilola worked as Head of Business at ALEDIN Nano Limited, a mobile financial services company, from 2016 to 2018. She was also a Senior Investment Analyst at Meristem Wealth Management Limited, where she worked alongside other team members as the major financial planner for high-net-worth-individuals and corporations.

Passionate about human and community development, Tomilola volunteers for recognized institutions as way of contributing to the growth of local, and global communities. Some of her volunteer experience includes working as a health volunteer for the United Nations (UN) Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). As a UN MDGs volunteer, Tomilola was actively involved with the MDGs campaign in relation to its sixth goal to combat HIV, Malaria and other diseases, by joining the team vested with teaching sex education and basic hygiene to female students in public secondary schools in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria.

Tomilola also volunteered as Practice Lead at Utiva, a fast-rising technology training platform focused on accelerating tech careers in Africa.

Through her various innovative contributions to the African financial technology sector, Tomilola is eliminating fraud, decentralizing funds, enabling transparency and inclusion in the financial space.
