Victoria Oluboyo
Victoria Oluboyo is the first Black African city councillor in Parma, Italy. Victoria Oluboyo’s election as a city councilor in Parma on Monday, 25th July, makes her the first Black African to be elected into such a position in Parma, Italy.
With this astounding achievement, she joins the long list of Nigerian and African women who are breaking new ground nationally and internationally.
Before becoming a councillor, Victoria was Administrative Assistant at the Prefecture of Parma Immigration Office in Parma, Italy. She also served in the Civil Service and was Legal Operator and Research Analyst in Parma, Italy.

With an academic background in Jurisprudence, Oluboyo studied law at Università degli Studi di Parma – University of Parma and was a student representative at UDU per Giurisprudenza, Scienze Politiche e Servizio Sociale.
Victoria is also an activist and feminist fighting discrimination and stereotypes. She supports, speaks for, and represents the rights of women via her blog and social media platforms.
Victoria’s work and passion for activism and governance will now be put into work with her new position as councillor in parma.
Victoria’s achievement in the political space is proof that women globally, are challenging the status quo by working hard and contributing immensely to global change and development.
