Also, Tinuke Oyediran, a Nigerian-British professional roller-skater broke two new Guinness World Records for ‘most cartwheels on roller skates’ in one minute with 30 and the ‘most spins on e-skates’ in one minute with 70. Tinuke excelled by setting numerous targets for herself, using her record progress attempts as a motivation to achieve her goals. An inspiring Cell Biologist, Tobiloba Oni became a Fellow of the prestigious Whitehead Institute, United States. Noteworthy is the announcement of The Milkmaid, a Hausa language-based film by Desmond Ovbiagele as Nigeria’s official submission for the 93rd Oscars in the International Feature Film category. The film tells the story of a Fulani milkmaid who confronts extremists in a rural African community.
