All you need to know about Ola Williams, Microsoft’s Newly Appointed Country Manager for Nigeria
Ola Williams was recently announced as the new Country Manager for Microsoft Nigeria. Following her appointment, she succeeds Akin Banuso, the Enterprise Commercial Lead for the Middle East and Africa – Multi market region. She joins Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa – Multi market region’s Leadership team reporting directly to Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa – Multi market region’s General Manager, Ibrahim Youssry.
In her new role, she will lead Microsoft’s efforts to speed up Nigeria’s Digital transformation and cloud adoption across all customer segments. She will also work to identify new opportunities and mobilize internal organization resources as well as external stakeholders.
Ola Williams is a business leader with over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry helping organizations leverage the power of technology to achieve their business objectives.
Since joining Microsoft in 2010 as the Enterprise Voice Technology Specialist, Ola has held various positions including Partner Technology Manager, Dynamics Partner Sales Executive as well as Account Technology Strategist.
Before her appointment, she was the Digital Transformation and Cloud Solution Director for the Microsoft Middle East and Africa (MEA) Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) spanning over sixty-seven countries in Africa and part of the Middle East. Then, she led a team of talented Solution Specialists to empower enterprise customers to achieve Digital Transformation of their organizations, through leveraging Microsoft Cloud Solutions.
Before Microsoft, she was a Lead Consultant with Dimension Data, Nigeria and has worked on large complex projects across Nigeria and South America. Ola has held different roles in other IT companies and has developed a very good knowledge of the emerging markets business landscape.
Ola is a Computer Science graduate from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Liverpool.
Committed to seeing more women succeed in the Information Technology field, Ola leads female-focused initiatives to support and encourage women and girls in her region to develop an interest in Information Technology and Engineering. She is a mentor to a couple of aspiring female leaders.
