Aramide Akintimehin, a passionate primary school teacher is creating a safe learning space for out-of-school children. Aramide is the founder of Talent Mine Academy, an initiative committed to helping out-of-school children at no cost. At Talent Mine Academy, the pupils are equipped with basic literacy, numeracy and digital skills needed for them to advance in their space. Their parents are also empowered with vocational and entrepreneurial skills to help sustain their families

On a grand mission to spark educational advancement in Nigeria, Aramide Akintimehin started the free education initiative for children in Nigeria, whose wards cannot afford quality education for them. She kick-started her teaching journey while undergoing her undergraduate degree. Since starting Talent Mine Academy in April 2019, Aramide, alongside her volunteers have impacted the lives of several out-of-school children by contributing to their educational development.

Aramide is a first-class graduate of Economics from Covenant University and currently undergoing her Master of Education in Learning and Teaching at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Before Harvard University, Aramide completed a Professional Diploma in Education from Babcock University.

Driven by a passion for educational development, Aramide previously worked as High School Intern from August 2020 to December 2020 at Cambridge School Volunteers, an independent non-profit organization supporting the academic and personal success of Cambridge public school children. Also, from March 2019 to June 2019, Aramide was an Empatico Research Fellow at Stanford University. There, she worked with Empatico in collaboration with Stanford University, to study the impact of connection-based learning on the learning outcomes of children in the Ota community of Ogun State, Nigeria.

Aramide is a Fellow of Teach for Nigeria, a leadership program dedicated to transforming the Nigerian educational system by equipping Fellows with leadership skills needed to drive positive change beyond the classroom.

Having worked on national and global education projects focused on expanding learning opportunities for marginalized children, Aramide has been recognized by Malala and Global Partnerships for Education as one of the ten outstanding youths transforming education across the globe.

Aramide is redefining the educational system and giving hope to marginalized children through providing selfless teaching service. She is building her dreams by creating educational opportunity for future leaders.

Aramide is the author of the eBook “20 Lessons I Learned at Age 20.” Additionally, she runs a mentorship program: Lady with a Difference, for female teenagers. Get access to her book at aramide.disha.page
