Ayo Makun Is Now Goodwill Creative Ambassador For The African Union

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY has been appointed Goodwill Creative Ambassador for the African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG) and Economic Community Africa Sixth Region (ECASR). 

This was announced by Dr. Onyekachi Macaulay.O. Kalu, the  AU6RG Chairman. In his letter to AY, he wrote; ”your extraordinary accomplishments and influential contributions to the entertainment industry, both on a local and international scale, truly position you as an exemplary figure for this distinguished role”.

As the AU6RG/ECSAR Goodwill Creative Ambassador, AY will champion the values and initiatives of the organization, fostering goodwill, and actively contributing to the socio-cultural development of the African Union’s Sixth Region.

Here’s what AY has to say about his appointment, “my appointment as Goodwill Creative Ambassador is to champion the power of creative expressions and engage the African youth in finding their own creative voice globally”.

Within the African Union, there are six regions including, North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa and the African Diaspora – the sixth region which is made up of people of African descent living outside the continent.
