Burna Boy’s ‘Destiny’ Featured in Biden-Harris Inauguration Playlist
Afrobeats singer, Damini Ogulu has gained more recognition across the globe as his song gets listed in the official inauguration playlist. With the Biden-Harris administration set to kick off today, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris recently released a 46-track playlist to be heard at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United State of America, Joe Biden.
Among the 46-track playlist is Afrobeats giant singer, Burna Boy’s ‘Destiny’, off the African Giant album. Destiny is the only Nigerian song on the inauguration playlist. The playlist is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Soundcloud.
The playlist features highly rated songs from talented artists across the globe including Beyonce’s “Find Your Way Back”, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige’s “Now or Never”, SZA’s “Good Days”, Tame Impala’s “Let it Happen”, Mavin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up” and a host of others.

On the inauguration playlist, the Chief Executive of the Presidential Inaugural Committee stated that music has been a consistent vehicle that has kept everyone connected all through the past turbulent year. He further stated that the songs and artists selected reflect the relentless spirit and rich diversity of America. He said that they are the score to a new chapter and will help bring people together as the Biden-Harris administration takes the step to unite the country.
A member of the Biden-Haris team noted that the playlist represents the diversity of America, her strengths and resilience as they look forward to new leadership and a new era.
Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ album previously won the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and the 2020 Edison Awards for Best World Album. In 2020, his album, ‘Twice as Tall’ was nominated at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Burna Boy is one of the biggest and most successful African artists. We are so proud.
