Business Interview with the CEO, Rae Collections
Titilayo Mariam Olamiju; CEO, Rae Collections

Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?

Engaging in a business has always been my vision. When I was still in secondary School , I started helping my mom with her provision store till I graduated from secondary school. On getting to a higher institution the urge to engage in a business kept growing so I decided to engage in one.

What inspired the idea of the “Rae Collection” brand and when did you start your initiative?

I have always wanted to have my personal brand, I knew people loved leather, at least I did, and I had seen people around me show much love for leather, they also love seeing their names on items they owned. I wanted to show my creativity and skills in leatherwork, so I started Rae Collections.

What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

My favorite aspect is meeting new people who make a positive impact on myself and my business.

What is the most challenging of being an entrepreneur?

Each and every day, I meet different people with different characters. Not every customer is patient, sometimes you have to go through a lot of stress just to please your customers and prove to them that you’re more than capable. If there’s anything Entrepreneurship has taught me, it’s how to be patient when dealing with people.

Tell us about your products/services?

I make quality leather products that comprise belts, wallets, and bracelets that are durable and strong.
